The international short film competition is a long running tradition at the Pornfilmfestival Berlin. Therefore again this year an international jury of three people will award the best short film. The award is endowed with a € 500 cash price, donated by Beate Uhse TV.
Érica Sarmet, Rio de Janeiro
Érica Sarmet is a filmmaker, screenwriter, curator and academic from Rio de Janeiro. She has a Master in Cinema and Audiovisual and a BA in Media Studies, both from Federal Fluminense University. Her research encompasses topics like pornography, queer and lesbian cinema, screenwriting and the history of Brazilian women filmmakers. She is also the founder and curator of “Quase Catálogo”, Brazil’s first film club dedicated to women directors. She made her directorial debut in 2017 with LATIFÚNDIO and is currently working on her next project, WILD PATIENCE.
Iwasa Hiroki, Tokyo
Iwasa Hiroki is a musician and filmmaker. In 1999, he co-founded ‘habakari-cinema+records’ with independent gay filmmaker Imaizumi Koichi. Since then he has made music for all their productions to date, including latest film BERLIN DRIFTERS (2017) as “PEixe-elétrico”. In 2001, he directed his first short film, GREY SILENCE. Since 2016 he has been writing reviews on music and film for Japanese website ele-king.
Diego Tigrotto, Rome
Tigrotto began his journey of tantra, BDSM, polyamory and post-porn at the 2013 Xplore Festival in Rome. That same summer at Burning Man he adopted principles of “Radical Self Expression” and started wearing animal onesies in his everyday life. In 2017 his short film A SPANKING ODE was selected to screen in Rome’s Hacker Porn Film Festival and won the No Gender No Border Award. It was later screened at various international festivals. He also curated the Short Film Competition selection for Hacker Porn 2018.
