The topic of menopause and sexuality receives little public attention and is certainly not addressed in porn. With “Olivia”, festival regular Inka Winter has not only realized a personal passion project but also created a bold, taboo-breaking film. Bestselling author Olivia is going through the menopause due to her age, struggling with the physical changes – and on top of that, a case of writer’s block. But through her encounter with Roman and the support of her friends, she manages to rediscover her sexuality and her body, with all its – initially unwanted – changes, and finally begins to enjoy them again. A feminist statement that shows women (and men) over the age of 50, in a refreshingly calm and charming way, as they face the endlessly frustrating battle with their hormone balance.
