Bodies, with all their pitfalls and desires, are the subject of this intense story. Maria starts a job in a rehabilitation home in southern Germany, where she cares for Alex, a paraplegic. The two take a liking to each other and give in to their lust. While a new world opens up for Maria, Alex becomes increasingly desperate. Despite the sexual emancipation they experience, a toxic relationship develops between the two with mutual dependence, nasty power games and humiliation.
