In this quasi-psychological thriller, Canadian director Denis Côté depicts three women battling inner demons during a stay at a retreat. Under the supervision of a neurotic German therapist, an oppressive and at times threatening setting develops. Memories of sexual abuse, their own sex addictions and other emotional ordeals push the three very different women to the brink of disaster. But in the end, they find strength and cohesion. A relentlessly told and intense story with a disturbing effect that lingers long after the film is over.
