Smith’s fierce and engaging black-and-white documentary features four Black transgender sex workers in New York and Atlanta in the US. Through talking-head interviews with the protagonists as well as a handful of admirers and a bangin’ soundtrack, Smith’s film allows typically marginalized voices to tell their own stories, while also delivering a stylish and thoroughly entertaining and important film.
