There aren’t many films that go further than “Flesh Eater X”. Splatter, cannibalism, necrophilia, dismemberment, suicide: this film’s images are not for the faint of heart. SamHel’s horror porn follows a sadistic photographer and serial killer, freshly arrived in San Francisco, as she lures in each new victim under the guise of glamorous modeling shoots. The film is skillfully held together with narration through one of pop culture’s favorite pastimes: the true-crime podcast. For a low-budget production, the gore and effects are impressive, to say the least, and it’s all punctuated with explicit queer sex.
