The Chilean director Lorena Zilleruelo accompanies the transition process of her cousin since they were 14. Lorena lives in France and on her regular family visits to Chile she films their transition to live as David. Despite the distance her sensitive longterm observation shows David’s development. In the course of the film it’s not only David who finds his identity, but his family turns to political activism and makes demands for a greater acceptance of trans identity. The film tells a moving story full of empathy and hope.
