With the goal to become a well-known porn actress, 20-year-old Linnéa leaves her small Swedish hometown and moves to Los Angeles. Diving into the sex industry under her new name Jessica and helped by three roommates who also work in the business, she soon reaches her physical, emotional and ethical limits. “Pleasure” stays close to reality, not least due to the fact that the majority of the actors are in fact working in the adult industry. Ninja Thyberg manages to paint an authentic picture of the porn industry in Los Angeles, which is characterized by misogyny and exploitation. How does Jessica fit into this world and will she learn from her experiences?
