“How did you get your faggot voice?” In “El triunfo de Sodoma”, feminist poet Goyo answers his lover’s question through an ebullient barrage of neon text, protests, parties, sex, and frenetically shouted revolutionary manifestos. This is queer revolution against the backdrop of Buenos Aires in revolt. Put together by an unnamed collective of anarchist porno terrorists, there’s one thing for certain about this film’s voice: It’s loud and fierce!
For those who want to learn more about the historic background of the Argentinian LGBTQ movement, this year’s festival program also offers Ernesto Ardito’s rousing documentary “Sexo y Revolución”.
